2009 was mostly about me getting comfortable at school:

I started to do a comic about the decade, still may, but needed to break it down; I am so easily overwhelmed.

I'm going home to California for a week to recharge my batteries. I'm hoping to get drawing lots comics (and find an internship!!) in the weeks before school starts.

I'm being lazy about screen printing and putting stuff up for sale in the shop, but no one is buying anything anyway.

I'm Free for the Month...
Nothing to do...

I didn't leave the couch for a few days there, but I'm back scribbling. I just started 5 different comics. Don't know how many will get finished. I become a nervous wreck about inking or even drawing for real. I forget it's just comics and to have fun.

WINTERCold Man Winter gave us a 4 day, rainy break from the snow; just long enough to ruin the whole White Christmas thing, but the snow is back now!

Not too much happening artistically, but I did finally excavate the floor of my art room, so at least there is space for me in there now.

ALSO I got a button/badge making machine for XMess so I can now make buttons! It's so exciting. I've been a button making fool all weekend until I ran out of button bits. I got more on order but the supplier's warehouse is closed until the 4th so I probably won't have more to play with until I get back from my trip.

Jan 6 - 15th I will be visiting my home turf for the first time in over 2 years! I'm from california and I miss everyone back in the bay area so much.

Happy Holidays
I'm enjoying the light snow flurries this year. Hope it stays mellow.
Rochester doesn't roll that way, but I can hope.

Enjoy whatever you do, or don't do.

PS: There are a few new doodles in the sketchbook, too.

The Ancient silk road by private jet
China - Mongolia - Uzbekistan - Armenia - Turkey

(c) National Geographic Expeditions

Chart the course of history along the world's most famous trade routes, where ancient cities and cultures have flourished and still resonate with their unique and glorious legacies. ..>>
